Dixons Carphone purchased interactive video wall technology for installation in their new flagship stores. With only 5 weeks before opening they required “Connected Home” content for the video wall and the Android tablet which drove the menu.
By writing, illustrating and animating scenarios, based on morning, noon and evening, the content explained how this new technology fitted into the customer’s lifestyle. The flat illustrations could be seen clearly at distance but also had the advantage of not overwhelming the customer when viewed closer.
The animation approach allowed products to be replaced with alternatives easily. This was a great benefit as the product line was not fixed until a week before opening.
The Android Tablet menu also followed the illustrative approach with humorous and friendly call to actions.
